Our Privacy Commitment

Video Frame Extractor is built around privacy-first video processing. Our frame extraction tool is designed so your source videos and generated frames remain under your control throughout the workflow.

Local Processing Guarantee

🔒 Local Processing Guarantee

Your videos are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload your source files, extracted frames, or ZIP exports to our servers during the normal frame extraction workflow.

  • Video decoding and frame capture happen on your device
  • Extracted images are generated locally in your browser session
  • ZIP packaging for downloaded frames happens locally
  • No remote storage is used for your source videos or exported frames
  • You keep direct control over deletion, downloads, and local copies
  • Closing the page ends the local processing session unless your browser keeps temporary cache data

Information We Don't Collect

Because the extraction workflow runs locally, we do not intentionally collect the contents of your video processing jobs, including:

  • Your uploaded video files or extracted frame images
  • The visual content contained in your videos
  • Frame-by-frame output generated during extraction
  • ZIP archives created for download
  • Manual capture timestamps or interval selections as file content
  • Hidden metadata from processed video frames unless you submit it to us separately

Information We Do Collect

We may collect limited operational information to keep the site available and improve reliability:

  • Page views and general usage statistics
  • Anonymous or aggregated browser and device information
  • Country-level location signals when provided by infrastructure services
  • Error logs and diagnostic events related to site stability
  • Basic performance metrics such as page load behavior or feature availability
  • Abuse-prevention or security signals needed to protect the service

How the Video Frame Extractor Works

The core extraction flow runs in your browser with client-side technologies and local file APIs:

  • You choose a video file from your device and the browser loads it locally
  • Frames are captured from the local video playback timeline
  • Images can be exported in supported browser formats such as JPG, PNG, or WebP
  • Batch extraction and ZIP creation happen inside the browser session
  • Estimated output counts and file sizes are computed locally from your settings
  • If a browser cannot decode a file or codec, extraction may not be available for that file

Cookies and Local Storage

We may use cookies, browser storage, or cached assets for basic website operation and performance:

  • Remembering non-sensitive interface preferences where applicable
  • Storing local UI state such as selected settings during a session
  • Website functionality and user experience optimization
  • Caching static assets so the tool loads faster on repeat visits
  • Security or abuse-prevention features
  • We do not use cookies to store your source video content or extracted frame files

You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Removing them may reset preferences or clear cached assets, but it does not give us access to your local video files.

Third-Party Services

We may rely on limited third-party infrastructure to operate the website itself:

  • Content delivery or hosting providers that serve site assets
  • Analytics or monitoring providers for aggregated usage and error tracking
  • Security providers that help filter malicious traffic
  • These services support the website infrastructure but are not used to process your local video extraction job content
  • If we add paid features or contact forms in the future, additional processors may apply to those specific interactions

Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the website and reduce exposure of operational data:

  • HTTPS is used to secure traffic between your browser and the website
  • Operational logs are limited to service and security needs
  • Because your video files stay local, server-side exposure of processing content is reduced
  • No online system can promise absolute security, so you should still use trusted devices and browsers when handling sensitive media

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the core local frame extraction workflow.

  • Local processing reduces the amount of media data shared with us
  • If a parent or guardian believes personal information was submitted through another channel, they may contact us to request review

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights relating to personal information we hold about you:

  • You control your local source videos, captured frames, and downloaded ZIP files
  • You can clear browser data to remove stored preferences or cached assets
  • You may contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests related to any personal information we actually store
  • You can limit cookies or use browser tools that reduce analytics tracking

International Users

The website may be accessed from different countries. Operational information may be processed where our hosting or service providers operate, while your actual local video extraction content remains on your device unless you separately submit it to us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. When we do, we will publish the updated version on this page and revise the last updated date.
